UnansweredQuestions - 9/11 and the Public Safety: Seeking Answers and Accountability

The press conference C-SPAN failed to cover.
The only KBOO Wednesday Lecture Series program in May that is NOT by
Alternative Radio.
A ninety-minute program "UnansweredQuestions: 9/11 and the Public Safety"
recorded at the Washington, D.C. National Press Club on June 10, 2002
The station is streaming on the web at:  http://kboo.fm/

This forum raised questions concerning 9/11, the collapse of the World Trade Center and
issues the media is failing to cover. The moderator of both panels is Catherine
Austin Fitts, former Assistant Secretary of Housing during the Bush I

"In the last 30 years we have had 682 hijackings."
"The airlines approached members of congress and the senate to get their bailout and their immunity and their protection starting on 9/11. They sent their first lobbyists up to the Hill on 9/11 and this has been confirmed to me personally by senators and members of congress." - Mary Schiavo

Panelists include:
Mary Schiavo, former Inspector General - Dept. of Transportation and author of
"Flying Blind and Flying Safe"

Julie Sweeney, wife of Brian Sweeney who was on United 175 that hit the South
Tower of the WTC

Lorna Brett, Director of Communications of Nolan Law Group in Chicago which is
representing some of the family members of 9/11 victims

Mike Ruppert, editor "From the Wilderness" newsletter; former LA Police Dept.
narcotics officer

John Judge, a researcher with the late Mae Brussell and co-founder of National Coalition of Political Assassinations

The event sponsor, UnansweredQuestions.org has made available written

Kyle Hence and John Judge are leading this group. Their latest press release was in April 2003. Kyle Hence suggested getting a video called "Aftermath" - - I haven't seen it although the UnansweredQuestions: 9/11 and the Public Safety video is a rather extraordinary piece even though it's a straight conference video recording.

It's been eight months since I've aired any program on KBOO longer than a short news story. Lectures, documentaries/spoken-word public affairs is fairly rare on KBOO outside of the weekday morning program slot. The evening news and the 6PM-7PM timeslot is one exception.
KBOO's format is 80% music, 20% news, talk radio, spoken word.
A lot of interviews, documentaries, lectures do not get played as there is only so many that can be scheduled in the 20% formatted time.
One big plus is that KBOO does not censor due to material that is too hot to air. So KBOO's policy doesn't prevent vital material from airing. All the other FCC-licensed stations in town do (perhaps not to offend the sponsors from promoting their product)
