Voluntary Action Day in Salem

A day to celebrate volunteerism in Salem... and the governor and state legislators invited to sign a Pledge to Serve Oregon! This would be a great time and place to recognize volunteer work in progressive causes, and to bring these issues to the attention of our public servants!
The Oregon Commission for Voluntary Action and Service will host Voluntary Action Day at the Oregon Capitol in Salem on May 2, 2003. This is a chance to share stories of service with legislators and highlight the impact of volunteers on Oregon communities. Festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. as Governor Ted Kulongoski (invited) and state legislators sign the Pledge to Serve Oregon. For more information about Voluntary Action Day, please email  ocsc@pdx.edu or call (888)353-4483.
