A song called Baghdad n' Basra

A song, written in a moment when the suffering of the Iraqi people, (in the midst of great, planetary pain) tears open a heart, demanding a response... from raw grief, comes determination, and hope.
Hey all,

in case you may find this of interest....

Here's a downloadable link to a song I've just written/recorded, called "Baghdad n' Basra."

(also at  http://www.cooperativeresearch.org)

With high-speed, you can listen to it immediately.

If not, the smaller file takes only a few minutes to download.

(If you're using IE as your browser, a sample of the song, 1st verse, plays as soon as you open the page).

hope you find it pleasing... inspiring..... (towards our continued resistance to the war-machine).

please post far and wide, as you see fit.

comments and suggestions always welcome.

Translation of Arabic at end

Ashhado alla ilaha illAllah

is part of the Azan (call to prayer) and means,

"I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except God"

Islam means "peaceful submission to God"

May there be peace on earth

Peace and Islam are oxymoronic terms. They don't co-exist. In what country has Islam ever invaded where peace reigned? Heaven forbid, if Christianity happens to be there! Oooooooooo! Can't have both can you?

"Islam means "peaceful submission to God"

Although they are muslim sympathizers because its politically correct, I'm doubting the godless communists who run and frequent this site would be willing to submit anything to god...

You're not very educated, are you? I don't think you can name a country with Muslims that doesn't also have Christians.

Don't judge others' religions by their fanatics and criminals, unless you judge your own in the same way.
