A demonstration and die-in to protest Lockheed Martin is scheduled in Portland at 6am on Tuesday, April 22 to coincide with San Francisco's planned action.
A demonstration and die-in to protest Lockheed Martin's involvement in manufacturing weapons of mass destruction is scheduled in Portland at 6am on Tuesday, April 22 to coincide with San Francisco's planned action. Lockheed Martin products include the F22 Raptor, F16, F117 Fighter Falcon, the Joint Strike Fighter and the U2 Reconnaissance Aircraft. Lockheed Martin Corp. is located at 3935 NW Alocklek Place in Hillsboro and Lockheed Air is located at 8133 NE Airtrans Way (near the golf course by the airport). However, most people will be gathering at Portland based, Precision Castparts Corp, which makes parts for several Lockheed Martin products including parts for the F16 and F22. Precision Castparts Corp headquarters is at 4650 SW Macadam. See you there.

They are planning a meeting the night before. Is there a meeting in PDX? Personally do not know anything about direct action, what it really is, how to conduct self, not a very brave individual, and do not know anyone personally involved, so if I went I would be afraid. Maybe if I had buddy I would go because I do believe people should know how these corporations are hooked into the military machine and if they are peace loving people, they should not invest in them and we should pressure them to dismantle this war machine.
