Thw world is saying No 14.Apr.2003 19:23

Observer

Thanks to all who roused themselves on Saturday, even though it's so hard to keep struggling for what's right in the face of so much that's wrong.

I would have liked to see more radical action on Saturday and fewer peace cops, but I understand the sentiment of those who chose not to come out of sheer exhaustion. It's been a difficult time for all of us. We'll all be back.

(I thought the exorcism outside the bOregonian offices rocked!)

As for people like the deluded asshole who posted the above comment, can you hear the sound of never ending terrorist attacks on your front doorstep as the world says a well-deserved "Fuck You" to the imperialist powers of the US? Can you hear the sounds of your own "what the fuck have we done"s as you realize the war really WAS about oil? Not just US oil, but oil belonging to a sick little cabal who now has a monopoly on the entire world's oil supply. Think that means you'll be paying less at the pump? Think again, simpleton. Can you feel the police state breathing down your neck? It's been a slippery slope we've been on, and your consent just bought you a front row seat to the end of democracy. Think you'll be safe because you're not "one of them"? Again, think again.

Alas, too many idiots like this can sense nothing beyond the cold dampness of that half empty budweiser can, can feel nothing but the weight of that last supersized fast food meal weighing down their conscience. By the time they realize how wrong they've been, it will be too late. Let's not wait for them to come around. Let's free ourselves now, while we still can.
