Anthem

Honoring those who chose to let the little children continue to suffer at the hands of brutal people
Sing to: (Angry All the Time)

Here we are,
What is left of my palace in the sand
With two good boys who raped at will
And terrorized the land

I'm not cold,
But I'm gettin a whole lot colder every day
It's too late to waste my enemies,
The bombs got in in my way

The reason that I can't stay don't have a thing to do with being alive,
I understand that being Saddam means you have to shuck and jive,
You ain't the only one who feels like this worlds' left you far behind,
I don't know why I had to go down a final time

My boys are gone,
the spittin image of those they killed before,
I hope some day we can see past the scars their victims wore,
And I remember everytime I swore I'd never leave,
But what I can't live with is the coalition rainin down on me

The reason that I can't stay don't have a thing to do with being your friend
I understand that France is against my regime's untimely end
You ain't the only one who feels that this worlds' left you far behind
But we'll all gather at a protest another time

30 years
Of living like a king has reached an end
I never will forget the fear i instilled in my countrymen
And how it hurts me everytime I think of the look in their eyes
I'll miss the torture, the genocide and the raping of their wives

The reason that I can't stay don't have a thing to do with being a man
I know all of you who protested for me surely understand
You ain't the only one who feels that this worlds' left you far behind
I don't know why we have to be losers all the time

I don't know why we have to be losers all the time
Cascadian anthem 12.Apr.2003 09:16

anon

Sung to the tune of "this land is your land" with apologies to Woody

I love Cascadia, I love Cascadia,
from California, to Vancouver Island
from the redwood forests
to the Puget waters.
Cascadia was made for you and me.

Cascadia 12.Apr.2003 10:35

Sephiroth

I believe it is "from San Francisco to the Alaskan Islands, from the Redwood forest to the Tongass waters", not Vancouver Island and Puget Sound. Last I heard, Cascadia stretched from San Francisco to Juneau.

"USA. KILLS CHILDREN BEST! WE'RE NUMBER ONE"

You moron. Probably fewer civilians died in the US bombing campaign than Sadam normally kills in a month. I keep asking, but no one answers: Why are you "peaceniks" so willing to overlook Sadam's atrocities? You don't really care about atrocities unless you can find an excuse to blame them on the USA. You hypocrites.

Buy a brain Victor 12.Apr.2003 13:47

.

You seem so sure of what you're saying, it's odd YOU don't provide the stats and do an honest comparison. But don't forget to add the hundreds of thousands of children killed by US sanctions to our little tally.

Oh, not interested in an honest comparison? Only here to prove your stupidity?

Mission accomplished!

Wrong 12.Apr.2003 17:25

.

They weren't US sanctions ... they were UN sanctions.

If we're bad guys for attacking without abiding by UN desires, then in the case of sanctions we're good guys for abiding by UN desires.

You can't have it both ways. Well, maybe YOU can, but thinking beings recognize the logical fallacy. Twit!

"...so willing to overlook Sadam's atrocities..."

The USA "overlooked" Saddam's atrocities for a long time. In fact, we supplied him with all his weapons to help him with his war with Iran in the 80s. Where were we for the Kurds then?

And guess what? The Kurds aren't the only people suffering in the world. There's the Tibetans who are undergoing horrible treatment by the Chinese. Why aren't we helping them?

Go read a book instead of sitting glued to the TV and posting your worthless garbage on indymedia.

Or is a book too challenging for your small brain?

BRING PEACE TO THE WORLD, SISTERS AND BROTHERS!
