Solidarity for Free Speech

Please join me tomorrow (Friday, April 11, 2003) in
solidarity to silently protest the degradation of our
cherished civil liberties and to raise awareness for the
April 12 rally/march against the so-called "Patriot Act."
Please join me tomorrow (Friday, April 11, 2003) in
solidarity to silently protest the degradation of our
cherished civil liberties and to raise awareness for the
April 12 rally/march against the so-called "Patriot Act."

The plan is this (feel free to pick and choose which
actions you feel comfortable with):

-Wear a piece of duct or similar tape over your mouth with
an appropriate short word or phrase that will peak interest
(I am choosing "TESTIFY")
-Given that you have tape on your mouth, go on a
silence/hunger strike for the day or however long you deem
appropriate (I am going from 8am to 8pm)
-Pass out fliers with the First Amendment on one side and
the info. regarding the Apr. 12 rally on the other
(printable files for these fliers below) to hand out when
people ask you what the !%$@ you are doing.
-Show up at the PPRC rally on Fri. night and say/mumble
"Hi!" if you see me. :-)

Once again I'd like to reiterate that many people might have
certain restrictions be it dietary or simply with their
level of comfort and may not be able to participate in all
the activities, but every little bit helps and at least
mentioning it to a few friends can work if that's what you
wish. I just thought I'd point out what I was going to do
and hopefully some people will join me.
Without further ado: here are the files for the handbills
(sorry they're in M$Word Format... it's the quickest thing
I could do)..

As for actually printing something with two side... it may
be a little tricky if you haven't done it and might require
some trial and error... but you'll get it, just re-feed the
paper in the tray and see what happens the first couple of
times.

Hope to see some tape on Friday night!
