Albany PeaceSeekers and the LBCC Peace Studies Program are sponsoring a Public Listening Forum on the war in Iraq to be held on Monday, April 14, at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Room at LBCC's main campus.
Everyone in the Linn and Benton communities is invited to come and speak from the heart about the war in Iraq and their vision for the future. Participants are invited to speak once, for up to 3 minutes, and to listen respectfully to all perspectives offered.
"We will not argue, discuss, prove, or decide anything," says the forum facilitator. "We want to ease the painful divisions that happen to communities when our country is at war; a destructive result of the over-simplification of taking sides and reducing dialogue to slogans."
