After 5 nights of steady rain, the Portland Peace Encampment and its signs are getting bedraggled. We have spent the day reorganizing and cleaning up (to the satisfaction at least ourselves and, perhaps, City Hall). However, we haven't had the resources on hand for new signs.
We request You bring down your favorite Pro-Peace / Anti-war signs and/or art (preferably waterproof) down to the Portland Peace Encampment across from City Hall at SW 4th and Jefferson. Drop them off and/or wave them yourself for a few hours.
If you don't have art, hot food/drink and/or money donations are always welcome. Phone calls/faxes/e-mails, etc to the Mayor's office at 503-823-4120 / 503-823-3588(fax) / www.ci.portland.or.us/mayor are always needed.
Together, we can make a difference.
