TECHNICAL NOTE regarding the freeway shots:
I'm curious to see if the expensive cameras that other folks have were able to get sharper pictures than my tourist camera. Luckily, I had brought my pocket four inch tripod or I would have had nothing to show you but mush. As it is the dazzling lights of the cars on the freeway sort of distract in a good way from the way the slow shutter blurs everything that is not holding perfectly still.
