How about a Dixie Chicks call-in to KUPL?

The Dixie Chicks have been baned from play at KUPL for making truthful comments about the President. We were thinking that it would be a good idea to stage a request call-in protest. Their business line is 503-223-0300.

I personally, don't know any of their songs (not a country fan) but it's not going to stop me.

It appears that their current song is called "Travelin' Soldier". You could request that.

Except they've since apologized, saying anyone who holds the office of President should be given the utmost respect.

Let them rot.

I'm not going to bother responding to LB. She (he?) has accomplished cranial-anal insertion.

The One True b!X, however, has a point. They did apologize. Personally, I don't think that's necessarily relevant. The dime-store Nazis at KUPL made a big public deal out of castigating them for speaking truth. They *deserve* some abuse for that alone.

Actually, that's a fair thing to say. Dissing the Chicks for backing down might not be as important as giving radio stations shit for over-reacting to begin with.
