come hear Homeless Voices
crossroads is holding a public teach-in
on Wednesday March 19th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm
at PSU Smith Center Room 327

Our topics will include the criminalization of homelessness, the de-funding of services, and the historical context of homelessness.

The teach-in will lead directly into future actions we are planning directed at Portland's anti-camping ordinance:

The first will be a sleeping bag give-away which we will have during the first week of April at Pioneer Square. We are looking for sleeping bag donations for this event. We want to emphasize to sleeping bag donors that the focus of this event is political not charitable. While putting bags in the hands of people who need them will help people, the greater good will come from removing the law that makes using the sleeping bags illegal.

If you want to donate an extra sleeping bag, you can bring them to the crossroads office. Our new location is at 618 NW Davis, around the corner from Sisters of the Road Caf?. We are open from 9:30 to 5:00 pm. We will also be able to collect bags at Sisters of the Road Caf?, 133 NW 6th Ave, on March 22nd from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

crossroads is a project of Sisters of the Road The flyer for this event can be found below.
