What do Portland Youth want?

I hear alot about what adults want for youth. But, what do youth want? It is good to see organizations like the Student Activist Alliance speaking up on what is important to them. I'd like to hear more youth voices. What do Youth Want?
I was just wondering about something. I have a question.

What do Portland Youth want for their lives? We always see that adults are holding meetings to discuss what to do next with schools and programs that affect youth in Portland.

What do youth want? I want to know so I can make sure that what I decide to do with my vote, or my voice, or my feet (as in protesting) is the right thing.

Any youth voices out there?

alienx

We want a world where people don't throw us away because we are not workers
We want a world free of people who have stolen power and are holding us captive, stealing our resources, sending us to the war fields to kill for oil
We want our minds freed up of TV shit and propaganda
We want to have a voice and a life
We want a future

We want to be free

We also don't want to be blown up by Al Queda...well that goes for most of us.

Liberation School Update, Please 08.Mar.2003 10:10

Den Mark, Vancouver WA

What's what with Liberation School? Is it on hold? It would be cool if SAA published an update. I showed up at PSU Smith for the second meeting, after confirming with PSU that the room was reserved, & nobody showed, from 6:30-7:30. If there was an update on Indy, i missed it. Anyway, i am still interested.

The original posting in this thread is cool. I, too, want to know, & want to help. The first response above, too, is cool. I don't think that's asking too much. It's rational. Which is the problem. Human society is seldom rational.

The self-burning by 19 year old Zdenek Adamec in Prague this week is incredibly tragic. Politicians caused this. Politicians must be fought. See you in the streets on March 15!
