Peace In One Simple Step

This would make the world safe - or at least it would be a good start.

The image is funny, but the focus on Bush I keep reading about here and hearing about at the various demonstrations I've been to is missing the point. If he dropped dead tomorrow would things change? The problems are much broader; in my opinion it's really about propping up a tottering capitalist system that can no longer be sustained without imperial conquest, environmental degradation, etc. Recent articles have played up the currency wars between the dollar and euro as a primary factor, and these have been persuasive as well.

Let's recognize, at least amongst ourselves, that the global, corporate-capitalist system is the problem. As we reach out into the burbs to pull more citizens into the anti-war movement, it's probably better to tone down the "socialistic" rhetoric. One step at a time. But ultimately, I don't think there's any chance of a humane future without resources being utilized and distributed in a radically different way. Name it whatever you will.

9/11 is the Reichstag in this particularly troublesome tale and it is the duty of all sensible sane citizens to take to task those in power, whether it be government, the media, the military, the police, the judiciary, the U.N., the church or the global village idiot.
With 9/11 it is all too easy but few people are talking and seem to be afraid of dealing with the real issue in hand. The real issue is simple - 9/11 never had anything to do with 'arabs' - only in that we locked up or killed thousands of them to make the 'story' more convincing. What really happened was that there was an arms-trade protest in London's Docklands and a few protestors hijacked the planes - as well as organise the demo. Big government knew full too well all about it for six months or more in advance yet chose not to do anything about it - they wanted their $40bn war and needed the pretext. Get with the story, and for further research and analysis read/download this one - the moment the 'small child' spoke up -

It is time for people to follow the excellent example set by others working in non-print media and to start writing something sensible. What would Hans Christian Anderson write about this momentous 'spectacle'?
