Bad Boys - sick fucking programming

t.v is one of the most nefarious propoganda machines that exits - kill it!
Bad Boys - sick fucking programming
Bad Boys - sick fucking programming
i was at someone's home tonight. they had the t.v. show COPS on. I was not paying attention, because this shit makes me sick. How anyone can find this sort of thing entertaining is beyond me.

but my eye caught a scene that was shockingly disgusting. three cops pulled a guy out of the back of his van. they jumped on his kidneys. one of the cops punched him. i couldn't believe what i saw and said something like "man, that is fucked up". one of the people viewing the show told me that it was the guy's due, that it was justice and that he was resisting arrest. justice? resisting arrest with three big ass cops sitting on the guy while his face is shoved in to the cement? that kind of thinking blows me away.

cop shows are one of the most popular "programs" (read: programming the mind) on t.v. people love violence in america. what a sick country we are!

oh, and during the commercials i caught the tale end of a plug to join the navy. something about fighting for honor. what a slick prop piece to squeeze in between cop shows. very fucking brilliant.

great way to get people whipped into a frenzy so that they can beat the drums of war.

pathetic

mind::getting stronger

for one, you might want to reduce your friend list by 1.

yeah, i know people who just gawk at cops. for the action and suspense? cuz they like police brutality? i dunno.

people's love of justice/rhetoric/cop shows reminds me of the scenes from George Lucas' "THX1138" where THX and LUH are viewing their visual meds. they move through the range of shows; black people performing; cops dishing out presumably "well deserved" ass whoopings; political blah blahing. at another time, they're viewing a religious worship show, reduced to the animal level of knowing that some silent and robed figure is the embodiment of reverence.

people don't know how to give their "spare mind" to the programming in order that their true mind may be preserved.

anyone watching COPS and not wondering "gee, could that situation have been handled differently?" or "what led up to all of this? the person feeling the need to steal a car? the angry and stern guy in uniform chasing the person running? the car being made such thing that someone would desire to steal it?..."

but whose going to think beyond...wait, that's right--there's nothing to think beyond. nothing to think about. just watch, sit back, relax, watch. know. understand (but don't think!). calm..going under..wake me up when the local news comes on...sleep...

TV Man to the rescue!!

also remember, some people actually like to see other people suffering (go figure). they like to see people abused by police on TV; drug-dependent people "tweaking" on television, behaving as only *depraved* "crackheads" can (nah, treatments and compassion is to good for 'em).

yep, some people love misery which is why you can't sweat it. if they like to see you suffer, don't see what you're doing as "suffering".

standing up for yourself at a protest is not suffering--it is the closest thing to freedom you will have in the physical world.

sitting on the coach laughing at the misfortune of "freedom fighters" is true misery--people too scared to live and seek out freedom, not scared to seek out "something to munch on" (mom) an more pain disguised as pleasure to pop into their lower-mind.

posting primarily negative comments at websites does not make you free because you're busy trying to disrupt. being busy trying to keep peoples spirits up and disseminate info may not imply personal freedom, but at least certain people are shining on in the world and not trying to be emotional black holes trying to create psychological black holes.

and now, Curtis Mayfield lyrics:

"i'm so glad i've got my own, so glad that i can see; my life's a natural high, the man can't put no thing on me."

Watch "Bowling for Columbine" 10.Jan.2003 04:57

Watch "Bowling for Columbine". Moore interviews the sick-in-the-fuckinī-head producer of COPS, and even does a spoof piece on it: the corporate crime unit.

That COPS show has pissed me off as long as I can remember.

Summing it all up... 10.Jan.2003 07:01

Have you ever seen TROOPS? It was an internet-based parody of COPS that was following Imperial Stormtroopers (i.e. Star Wars) on the planet Tatooine.

They did a really good job on it, so good that George Lucas apparently decided not to sue the group that made it despite the urgings of his lawyers.

By itself, the TROOPS series of net flicks is a riot. However, I think it pretty much sums up the whole mentality of COPS: following the "perfectly human" agents of the Evil Empire as they go around milking their authority for all it's worth, brutalizing people at the least provocation and clearly getting off on it. The program makes you "root for the bad guys", so to speak.

I don't know if TROOPS is still available on the net or not. Maybe it's time for another search...

the poster does not seem to be posting negative comments but making a direct link between tv "programming" and our mentality of war.

so true

You Missed It 10.Jan.2003 10:49

You make it sound like that guy they pulled out of the van was a peaceful citizen minding his own business. The suspect, while fleeing the police, caused numerous accidents on the freeway, then drove through an intersection at high speed, broadsided a car, critically injuring an old lady. This is where you came in. The suspect then resisited arrest, fighting the cops until they finally subdued him with brute force. Now, I'm no fan of police brutality, but sometimes it is understandable. The guy wasn't going to come quietly. So TELL THE WHOLE STORY! Yeah, these shows are sick, but they are reality. Like it or don't.

I watch Cops for one reason only: To know the enemy! You can learn some of their tactics and how they think in the field. Shure they are sick, twisted pigs, brutalizing the poor and weak, but we all know that anyway. So don't watch the show from the knee-jerk point of view they want you to see it from, watch to learn how to beat them at their own game. For every venomn there is an anti-venomn, just a matter of finding it.

Yea...I agree with Green Hornet. Watching cops gives you an idea of how they operate. You could even make it fun. For every time a pig says "relax" or "stop resisting", take a shot or a bong hit...

Pay attention Dumb ass 26.Jan.2004 16:28

Big Jim

Maybe next time you'll pay attention dumb shit before you go spouting off about how 3 cops sitting on some guys back is out of line. If you would have watched you would have known that the asshole they were sitting on had just committed a robbery and then caused 3 accidents and almost killed 3 innocent people. gets your facts stright before you talk or just shut the fuck up
