Audio of Preserving Digital Democracy Meeting

Audio files of the presentation Tuesday night at the Multnomah County Library, sponsored by the Oregon ACLU. Presentations concerned the future of the Internet, the medium that the Supreme Court called the most participatroy form of mass speech yet developed.
This meeting provided the opportunity for discussion about how the Portland community has been working to preserve the open characteristics of the internet.
Portland made the news two years ago when it demanded that AT&T keep it's cable open to competing ISPs. Though they lost in the Court of Appeals, their stand encouraged debate, and brought the subject into national prominence.

This post consists of five separate Audio files, one for each of the presenters at this important meeting.
