911 -Call and Write to C-SPAN, NOW
YOU MUST COVER THIS: "9-11 and the Public Safety" at NPC, 6/10/02
I was anticipating watching this important event on C-SPAN and I am writing to protest C-SPAN's decision not to cover it. I am referring to the important press conference "9-11 and the Public Safety: Seeking Answers and Accountability" which will occur at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Monday, June 10th from 2-5 pm.
Not covering this is a serious mistake with potential grave consequences for our country. There is no good enough excuse for not showing this vital press event, which will cover key questions and information that have not been addressed by our national leaders or by the mainstream media in this country. Your website claims that you strive for balance. Your website says that you cover National Press Club events as a matter of course. This event matches all of the criteria outlined on your website, and it is of supreme importance. In the name of "balance", you cannot ignore these critical issues which have not been covered adequately elsewhere.
Please consider that this event will include family members of people who died in the WTC and Pentagon on 9-11. In the name of justice and democracy, we and they deserve to have this call for open investigations and real answers shown on C-SPAN.
Please do not fail the American people. Please reconsider your decision and send over a team to the National Press Club to videotape the conference to be sure that substantive 9/11 issues, new information, and important questions are fully addressed to help build a case for a full and independent investigation.
