Palestine Action Group
Forum on Palestine
6 pm Saturday 18 May 2002
1737 NW 26th (at Thurman)
The Palestine Action Group presents the third in a series of forums on
"Lessons drawn from al Nakba"
Bishara Costandi, originally from Jaffa and founder of Arabs Building
Community, will discuss what can be learned from the 1948 creation of
"Why the US Supports Israel: The Impact of Competing Views for
Organizing Against the Occupation"
William Seaman, a member of Jews for Global Justice and Oregon Friends
of the Middle East, will discuss the role of Israel in US foreign
policy and the influence of the Israeli lobby.
The greater part of the time will be reserved for questions and
discussion from the audience as they were such an energetic part of the forum on the 4th of May.
