A20--Taco Bell Protest, then Carpool to Holladay Park!

Say no to Taco HELL!
NO JUSTICE, NO TACOS!

This SATURDAY, APRIL 20th, 12:30 pm-1:30 pm
NW 21st and Burnside

Come out to support farmworkers in Florida and join the immigrant rights' movement by demanding that Taco Bell pass on ONE QUARTER OF ONE CENT PER TACO to the tomato pickers who currently pick and carry two tons of tomatoes to earn $50. CBLOC, with Jobs with Justice and other immigrant rights groups, has been organizing pickets of Taco Bells in the Portland area since January as part of our ongoing campaign to support worker's right to organize around the world. The farmworkers in Florida, like those in Oregon, are leading the fight for workers rights and to stop the race to the bottom, despite the recent major setbacks for immigrant rights in this country. Please join us in solidarity with this important work. This Saturday, bring yourself, your signs, and your voice to stand up for workers rights. Immediately following the picket there will be a carpool to Holladay Park to join the march against the war on terrorism (which starts at 2pm; rally starts at 1pm)

Taco Bell is the major customer of huge corporate tomato plantations in Florida where workers have picked tomatoes at the same piece rate, despite inflation, since 1978! To learn more about this campaign visit www.ciw-online.org
