Do Not Buy From Affordable Auto Wholesale on SE 82nd

These capitalist frauds are ripping people off and abusing their workforce.
Recently I purchased an auto from Affordable Auto Wholesale on SE 82nd, in PDX. While signing papers the weasel Jon the manager was berating his hispanic and minimum wage paid workers in true nazi fashion. I purchased the car after being told an idling problem I mentioned before buying had been fixed. After having the car 3 hours the problem continued, I returned it and they had said they forgot to fix it. After repeated attempts the problem had not been fixed as they had claimed and I demanded a refund of money since the car had been worked on for 3 days, I had the car a total of 4 hours in 3 days. The blinkers I also discovered did not work, and I refused to take the car since the problem they had claimed to fix was still present and the car was not street legal. They refused to refund my 2000 dollars and still have the car which they intent to re-sell. This car was a Christmas gift for my girlfriend who works for minimum wage and doesn't have car. I am now out 2000 bucks and have no car to show for it. These capitalist cockroaches love to rip off the poor and sell vehicles through fraud and deception. Learn from my expensive lesson and avoid affordable auto wholesale. Your hard earned money is at stake.

We had a wonderful experience at Affordable Auto Wholesale On 82nd 18.Jan.2004 13:53

Happy Customer

I totally disagree with angry worker who clearly either has never really been to Affordable Auto Wholesale or is angry for some totally unrelated reason. Both my sister and i have received great deals on incredable vehicles there, and will continue to recomend all of our friends and family to also purchase vehicles there. I worked personally with General Manager John and also with sales manager Terry. Both showed the utmost respect and greatfulness to every other employee. I have also never seen people work so hard for there customers since Les Schwab.

Happy Customer

I completely disagree with angry worker, he obviously has either never really been to Affordable Auto Wholesale or he is holding a grudge for some completely unrelated reason. Both my sister and I have bought wonderful cars at Affordable Auto Wholesale and had a great experience. We both recommend our families and friends to go to Affordable Auto Wholesale and every one who has, had great experiences as well. Personally I worked with General manager John and Sales manager Terry. Both were eager to please and very informative. They also weren't pushy like so many other sales people can be. I haven't seen people work so hard for there customers since Les Schwab.
I didn't see any employee treated disrespectfully; actually John and Terry treated the service department employees very gratefully and seemed to congratulate them on what a great job they were doing. As for having car problems, my car's fuel pump went out shortly after I bought it and without any hassle they replaced it in a timely manner for no charge to me.
Every one else at Affordable Auto Wholesale has been wonderful, and any time in the future that I need a car I will definitely go to Affordable Auto Wholesale.

Any Dealership with the words "Affordable", "Thrifty", or "Gage" in their name should automatically trigger your brain to this symbol "?" I purchased a crappy vehicle from Affordable auto, but I knew the risks. Any good mechanic can make a car sound good for a few days, even a few hours. Hire an independent mobile mechanic to check the car out if you're concerned about reliability. $100 may save you a few thousand.

What A Joke! 07.Mar.2004 18:22

Woody swoody@tds.net

We went to Metro Auto Wholesale. We were told right from the start "yeah, come on down, we can help you get into what you want". What a joke! We sat in their car lot from 7:30am until after noon, then we were sent to their HoodRiver lot, where we sat for more hours only to be told they couldn't help us. They lie to you right from the start, and then go on about their business. They are out for themselves, and don't care about the customers at all. We would not send our worst enemy to them! I truly feel sorry for anyone who gets sucked in by them! YOU ARE A JOKE, AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN A BUSINESS THE WAY YOU DO!!!!!!

Looks like the 3 positive comments from Jan. 18 came from the dealer. All three on the 18th, all within a couple of hours of each other. Just coincidence? ....I don't think so.

okay my husband ken and i went to affordable auto wholesale and we found a mirage for my husband and it was cheap and it was in pretty good condition, my husband still has the car and we have had to put money into it but nothing major. so thats my experience with that dealership on that aspect, I did go back to buy a van for myself and the manager there don't know his name kinda hefty guy, well anyways he was rude to me and i didn't appericate that since we were return customers,i ended up putting 250.00 on this van to hold it but it turned out i didn't want to go through them and asked for a refund on my debit card and they gave it to me. i went somewhere else to buy myself a van at auto car.biz they aren't any better, i have since sold that van after i paid it off and i finally bought another car in vancouver wa.which i have right now and it has a transmission leak, lucky me lol 82nd ave is shit car magnet i think you really have to be choosey, oh and don't go to world of wheels either there are horrible.talk about someone ripping you off they are the kings of it. we went there before we went to affordable for a car and we put 2000.00 down on a ford explorer which they said they could finance us no problem we had the car for a week and we were told to bring it back, they couldn't finance the car, well we had bought a new radio for it since it didn't have one in it to begin with,we brought back the car and we said we needed our stereo out of it and they said they would take it out and we could come back to pick it up, well that night they sell the car(suv) to someone else with our stereo in it and it took us 2weeks to get this stereo back. they are shit too.

HARD HEADED IN WILSONVILLE

i had written on the car dealers on 82nd ave especially about affordable auto wholesale, well you'd think after having two bad experences with them i'd learn, lol guess not i went there to buy a car for a friend of mine she was going to put the car in her name and she wanted a cheap car and easy financing. so we went there and she saw a 1996 neon two door, it was very clean and nice inside no rips or anything but the outside you could tell someone painted it with what looked like a lot of spray paint. anyways it was a stick shift, we get the car home and a week later find out the head gasket was blown and backing up in the radiator. nice affordable they have real shady cars and they are way over priced. i sold the car for 1200 i still owed 1900 and i ended up eating 700.00 so i think i've learned my lesson this time. lol

Buying Cheap Cars 08.May.2006 13:41

Careful When You Shop

Lets start here, yes I do personally know the owners of this dealership. To address your first statement, about John being mean to the worker, I actually have a pretty good idea about who he was yelling at and trust me, if I am thinking of the right person, he had it coming. Anyways, If you go to a car lot, and you have really bad credit and you buy a car for $1500, dont expect it to be perfect. I don't care where you buy a car from, if it is used, it might have serious mechanical probems. Granted, if the salesman knows about them, they need to tell you, but by law, they don't have to. But the fact of thematter is, many times, they themselves just recently purchased the car and this dealership does not have on site mechanics, so they might not know of all the problems. A few words of advice: A smart consumer will always have the vehicle inspected prepurchase by your own mechanic!!! Also, don't go looking for a "cheap" car. Because that is exactly what you will find, a car that is cheap in every sense of the word. Go out looking for a good buy and don't settle on any one car until you are sure you have found a mechanically sound vehicle.

BAD CAR DEAL/// 01.Sep.2006 17:04

lets face it if you go to the dealers above you are looking for a car that is chep and someplace you can get a loan with your poor credit???since you failed to pay your bills or already have a repo??? what kind of a car do you hope fore at $2000.???if you go to mclaughlin blvd you will find most cars are $5000 and up///and even then a $8000. car can have problems///thats why they are called used...too many people go out with bad credit very little cash down///like only $200 or $500. and think for $2500 they will get a car with no problems. and they do not even know how hard it is at times to even get them a loan///someone works the banks for days trying to sell them to the bank with their shit credit....and 30% them don't even pay the loan.....get real and thank the dealer for even getting you a loan
