A few words from nessie 3:48pm Wed Jun 6 '01
(Modified on 7:16pm Wed Jun 6 '01):

"I close with the first paragraph of the introduction to my unpublished
book, Fatal Rebirth: Truth cannot live on a diet of secrets, withering
within entangled lies. Freedom cannot live on a diet of lies,
surrendering to the veil of oppression. The human spirit cannot live on
a diet of oppression, becoming subservient in the end to the will of
evil. God, as truth incarnate, will not long let stand a world devoted
to such evil.

Therefore, let us have the truth and freedom our spirits require... or
let us die seeking these things, for without them, we shall surely and
justly perish in an evil world".

.

I appreciate your challenge to how McVeigh has been villified and dehumanized by the mainstream. But I feel calling Tim McVeigh a "True Soldier of Freedom" is an irresponsible whitewash of his horrible actions. He killed innocent people and he admits to doing so. Killing people is not a road to (true) freedom -- never has been, and never will be.

Don't fall into that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" trap. It's easy to do, especially for us social and political radicals. But it is VITALLY important for our actions and intentions to be based in feelings of love (see that quote by Che hanging up in the Red & Black) and nonviolence.

To paraphase what I've said here in the past: It's anger and hate that have gotten us to this situation in the first place -- and they won't get us out.

If so, an even greater irresponsible whitewash regarding the terrorist
actions of the US government and its agencies is presently being
supported by the vast majority of American citizens...I have simply
adopted the language of government itself to illustrate the hypocrisy
and absurdity of it all. I don't really condone what McVeigh did, I just
fully understand his rationale and admire his defiance right until the
end.

> He killed innocent people and he admits to doing so.

The US government and its terrorist agencies have killed countless
innocent people while most Americans go about their daily business not
even wanting to know.

The McVeigh case has forced some of these people to take notice of
what's happening behind the scenes of American Fašade Politics...And for
the most part, they don't like what they see. What will they do about
it?

Nothing?

If so, there will be more McVeigh's in the future...And worse ones...

Killing people is not a road to (true) freedom --
never has been, and never will be.

Tell that to your government because that's what they do every day.

> Don't fall into that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" trap. It's easy to do, especially for us social and political radicals. But it is VITALLY important for our actions and intentions to be based in feelings of love (see that quote by Che hanging up in the Red & Black) and nonviolence.

Wrong. Ignorance, gullibility and fear have gotten "we the people" into
this situation. We let ourselves be duped by false authorities who have
taken our money to arm and fortify their gigantic fortresses. At this
point, speaking out and staging mild-mannered protests hardly even
bothers THEM. It's no surprise that some of us loose patience
altogether.

Anger and hate are true feelings I have no intention of denying.
These feelings serve, with other feelings, to fuel the motivation behind
the desire for deep change: The Revolution. To me, it is an obvious
necessity.

Where are the REAL MEN?
Still talking?

If McVeigh is NOT a true soldier of freedom, then none of them are.
If the present soldiers were True Soldiers of Freedom, what would they
be doing? Working for the US government? I don't think so. The US
government uses the natural patriotic feelings of young men to lure them
into a corporatic army of mercenaries. Some of them turn into assassins
and homicidal robots. The "authorities" have the audacity to call this
discipline and bravery.

A man should abide by his conscience...especially when ordered to kill
someone else.

I do, however, understand where you're coming from. My use of the
expression "true soldier of freedom" was quite disturbing, perhaps
inapropriate...unless I wanted to provoke some kind of reaction within
the perimeter of silence that surrounds all this affair.

Thanks for caring enough to write.

Isidor
