Peņa Cultural and SEIU Local 49 invite the community to a cultural event with origins in Latin America where various musicians and other performing artists come together to raise public awareness of social issues through their talents.

Peņa Cultural and SEIU Local 49 invite the community to a cultural event with origins in Latin America where various musicians and other performing artists come together to raise public awareness of social issues through their talents. The event will raise funds for the Justice for Janitors campaign and the family of Jose Mejia Poot.

Saturday, June 16, 7:00pm, at the SEIU Union Hall, 3536 SE 26th Avenue, Portland. A Mexican dinner, which includes a raffle ticket and door admission, will be served at 6:00 pm for a suggested donation of $10.00-$20.00. The program will begin at 7:00 pm and a door donation of $5.00-$10.00 is requested.

There will be music by Portland's Bajo Salario, Samuel Davila and other local musicians. Teocalli Amauta, from San Jose, will play Andean Folkloric music and Grupo Inspiracion will play music to dance to until 10:00pm. For more information call 503-236-4949, ext. 21.
