Two Years in the Trees!
A Celebration to Benefit Cascadia Forest Alliance and the Eagle Creek Campaign
Come out and celebrate the continued success at halting the logging of the Eagle Creek timber sales. Thanks to your continued support of the dedicated activists and organizers of CFA, the struggle to protect this precious watershed for generations to come will continue. Recent developments include letters from the cities of West Linn and Lake Oswego asking that the "independent review" of the Eagle sales focus on all environmental issues raised, not just one or two as the Forest Service has proposed. The "independent review" is expected to begin later this month, but tree sitters remain in Sunset Grove as activists prepare for another season of protest if logging begins June 1.
When: Friday, April 20th 7:30 PM til
Where: Conans Pub, Corner of SE 39th & Hawthorne
Music by Peter Wilde, Little Sue and Lynn Conover, followed by Sweet Juice.
Sliding scale admission $5-$500. Free admission to all tree sitters, road blockaders or basecampers.
So come out, kick down a few bucks and get down to some great local music.
