This Thursday, February 15th, the Cascadia Forest Alliance will host The Caribou Commons Project - Images, Sounds and Music of Alaska's ARCTIC NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE!! Don't miss Ken Madsen's slideshow of "America's Serengeti." Ken Madsen is an award-winning writer, photographer and conservationist living in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory.
With 'Bush and Dick' and their oil company buddies using the energy 'crisis' to justify the exploitation of Alaska's North Slope, its important now more than ever for all of us to get a sense of what we could be losing - check out this incredible slideshow and also hear from Sandra Newman, born and raised in Old Crow, a small Arctic village at the heart of the Gwitchin Nation, who will share stories of the Gwitchin culture from thousands of years living with the Porcupine Caribou Herd in Alaska and Northern Canada.
